The beauty of Connect <> Lockleaze is how it can add to other activities already being run within the community.
For example, the Community Support at Home team at North Bristol Advice Centre organise monthly ‘Tea and Talk’ sessions to encourage elderly, often isolated, members of the community to get together.
Today’s ‘Tea and Talk’ was held in the Langley Centre which meant they were able to use the Connect <> Lockleaze computers to view film clips and look up movie trivia – all part of their discussions about films and what films they would like Alex Wood, our NHS Health Development Worker, to show at her monthly film club.
